A South Dakota that sees everyone. A future we can care about.

Healthcare with Heart

As a nurse and a volunteer with Midwest Street Medicine, I’ve seen the gaps in our system — and the power of compassionate, community-based care. Every South Dakotan deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare, no matter their income, ZIP code, or insurance status.

In Pierre, I’ll fight for:

  • Expanded access to care in both urban and rural communities

  • Support for bedside nurses, case managers, and direct care staff

  • Investments in mental health, addiction recovery, and reproductive health

  • Policies that protect access to gender-affirming and culturally competent care

Healthcare isn’t a privilege. It’s a promise — and we’re overdue to keep it.

Dignity for All

I’m proud to live in a diverse and resilient community. But too often, our state’s policies leave behind the very people who make it strong: LGBTQ+ South Dakotans, immigrants and refugees, and families simply trying to live with safety and dignity.

I will:

  • Stand up to legislation that targets LGBTQ+ youth, families, and providers

  • Advocate for inclusive policies that protect civil rights and promote belonging

  • Work to expand language access, affordable housing, and workforce protections for immigrants and New Americans

  • Support schools and public agencies in creating safe, welcoming spaces for all

We are stronger when everyone is safe to show up as they are.

Working Families Deserve Better

Whether it’s the parent navigating child care, the nurse picking up extra shifts, or the young person choosing between rent and student debt — our policies should work for people, not just spreadsheets.

That means:

  • Investing in public schools and raising teacher pay

  • Expanding access to affordable housing and child care

  • Supporting small businesses and apprenticeship opportunities

  • Prioritizing paid family leave and living wages

We know what working families need — we just need leaders willing to listen and act.
